Unfortunately, asbestos has been identified as an extremely toxic substance that leads to debilitating illness and deadly, cancerous diseases. The most deadly disease caused by asbestos exposure is called Mesothelioma. This disease is linked to exposure to asbestos fibers. One of the most common causes of mesothelioma is environmental exposure to asbestos fibers in the workplace. In some cases, victims of asbestos-related illnesses and disease have been exposed to asbestos fibers in their home, apartment, or condominium.

A career that puts employees in an environment where asbestos dust is present is the most common situation in which our clients have acquired mesothelioma and other asbestos-caused illnesses and disease. Workers in the mining, shipbuilding, construction, automotive, heating and cooling, textile mills, paper mills, foundries and asbestos manufacturing industries have an increased chance of toxic exposure to asbestos dust and fibers. The length of time in which the worker is exposed to asbestos also increases the chance that the work may contract mesothelioma or an asbestos-related illness.


In addition to these dangers, family members of workers in these industries are at an increased risk due to the asbestos fibers and dust at home. This is due to the asbestos dust and fibers that may be on workers’ work clothes.
